General Itinerary

Located at the heart of the African Continent, Uganda is a country truly gifted by nature and well deserves the title of “Pearl of Africa”.

Uganda is best known for viewing the endangered mountain gorilla's, chimpanzees and other primates as well as being home to savannas teeming with wildlife, tropical rainforest's, spectacular waterfalls, shimmering lakes and rivers as well as the glacial peaks of the Rwenzori mountains 'Mountains of the Moon'.

Uganda is Africa's most complete birdwatching destination and, with more than 1000 species recorded. These include the Shoebill, Great Blue Turaco, Black-and-White Casqued Hornbill and Green Broadbill. Many visitors have found birding to be very rewarding in this country.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport 

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your safari guide who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your accommodation in Kampala.

Day 2: Overnight at DOLPHIN SUITES BB

This Morning at 6:30 (just after breakfast) we shall leave for Queen Elizabeth, we shall have the packet lunch. We shall be at the park at around 13 pm , just in time to go and do Chimps at Kyambura Gorge . The walking with the chimps can go for 2/4 hours ..depending where the chimps are.
We shall be back at the lodge just before dark. 

Day 3:  Overnight at BUSH LODGES FB

This Morning we shall go for a game drive and we shall take packet lunch with us. ON our lunch we shall see the crates lake. The park covers a total area of 1978km2 and is deservedly Uganda’s most popular protected area. It enjoys a stunning location on the rift valley floor between Lake George and Lake Edward. The varied habitats are home to 95 mammals and 612 bird species. In the afternoon we shall go for a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. This will give you the opportunity to view wildlife up close : hippo's huff and spray mere feet away from the boat ,buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are also home to an array of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others. After this wonderful afternoon, a slow drive back to the lodge just in time for dinner.

Day 4:  Overnight at BUSH LODGES FB

A relatively early morning start, to drive to Bwindi / Kisoro Impenetrable Forest, about an 5/6 hour drive, though though the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where the famous tree climbing lions live.
we shall have a packet lunch and we shall arrive at the lodge before dark. 

Day 5:  Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge FB

Wake early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for Gorilla Trekking. Before 8am report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers. The guides will then take you through the bush , pushing your way through the undergrowth, to track the gorillas. (Please note this trek can take from 2 to 7 hours). A reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them 'talk' to one another and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant Silverback. After trekking enjoy a well-deserved rest at the lodge. 

Day 6:  Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge FB  

After breakfast you will start your drive to Lake Mburo with packed lunch, the journey will take about 6hrs. Lake Mburo park is only 260 sq. km being the smallest of the Uganda’s savanna National Parks. It's mosaic habitat, dry hillside, rocky outcrops, bushes thickets, open and wooded savanna forests, lakes and swamps are home to a surprising diversity of plants and animals. Including Zebras, Impala, Buffaloes, and birds, comprising bill storks which are found nowhere else in the country.

In the afternoon we shall do a game drive and we shall be back at the lodge just before dinner. 

Day 7:  Overnight at Leopard Rest Camp  

This morning an early breakfast, and we shall depart with a packed lunch to Entebbe International Airport (about a 4/5 hour drive).
Please note we have to be in Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departures.
